Danny Gaulden’s Homemade Ice Cream

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups sugar

3 raw eggs

1 package vanilla junket — 4 ounces

1 large can Pet milk

2 small cans Pet milk

1 quart milk

1 tablespoon (or more) vanilla extract

milk — as needed

Directions

Try this one. Mix all ingredients together, but do not cook them. Makes one gallon. Remember that you don’t fill barrel all the way to the top. Leave a couple of inches or more for expansion of the ice cream as it freezes. This recipe is the best I’ve ever made for a down home, homemade flavor.
